Cake with Pears, Amaretto d’Italia and Chocolate

Ingredients

600 g “00” white flour
300 g sugar
6 eggs
100 g butter
100 g Amaretti D’Italia macaroons
100 g dark chocolate
1 untreated lemon
1 bag of baking powder
2 pears

Preparation

Chip the chocolate and crumble the Amaretto biscuits.

Mix flour, baking powder, sugar, lemon bark and eggs in a bowl. Mix well, and then add butter softened at room temperature, chocolate and Amaretti d’Italia biscuits.

Peel the pears and cut them into slices.

Grease and flour a cake pan about 24 cm in diameter, pour the mixture and lay the pears down on it in the shape of a fan.

Bake at 180° C for 35 minutes. Use a toothpick to make sure the cake is cooked on the inside: insert it in the centre and see that it is dry to the touch.

Serve warm or cold and, if you wish, add a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
